Yes, tomorrow Kyle and I are off to Paris. Yay! I can't wait - we're so close to the Moulin Rouge. We're going to see if we can go there for dinner and a show one night. Oh man, I'm so going to fulfill one of my lifetime dreams of sitting in a French street cafe drinking hot chocolate and writing poetry. Or pretending to write poetry, anyway.
Just got to write my horoscopes for the Explorer tonight and I can go frolic on the continent with a clean conscience. ^_^

A Flying Festive Round-up
Dec. 28th, 2009 09:46 pm The last guest blog post will go up tomorrow come hell or high water. Or possibly both, who knows? In the mean time, here are the facts:
1. I am recovered from my food poisoning. Huzzah! I'm not sure what caused it - either dodgy Chinese last Friday or dodgy Italian last Saturday. Either way, I am pleased to report that I was sufficiently recovered to eat mass amounts of Christmas food, which made everyone (well, me) very happy.
2. What also made me happy was my Christmas present from Kyle - a trip to Paris in January! More huzzahs! I'm so excited. The 15th can't come soon enough. I think we both need a real break, given how rough the past few months have been, and Paris is perfect. Especially since I was supposed to go last February but had to cancel at the last minute.
I am now watching Day of the Triffids, having spent the day cleaning the house to within an inch of its (and my) life. Kyle has laid new kitchen flooring, and we have some kind of gooey toffee cake thing to enjoy. Tomorrow, the final guest blog will be blogged, and after that I might think about a few resolutions for 2010. It's going to be a big year for me writing-wise, so I should make a proper attempt to be organised and so forth. We'll see how that goes...

So I booked my Eurostar tickets to Paris. Now I have to figure out how the hell I'm going to pay for accommodation and expenses. I'll only be there for two and a half days, so in theory I can do it on the cheap. In practice, I have expensive tastes.
Well no, I don't. I don't live an extravagant lifestyle by any means, but I like to be comfortable. I'm quite prepared to skimp on non-holiday stuff until February and I may even go so far as to buy cheap shampoo and conditioner for a while *gasp* But why oh why did I book myself a holiday so soon after Christmas?! What was I thinking? What am I doing? What will I do?
