No internet for three days = no way for me to feasibly catch up on what/how you're all doing. So I throw it open to you:

How are you all? What have you been up to?

I can tell what I've been up to: hanging with Pip watching 80s movies and spending too much money (I should never go shopping with Pip, she's just a bad influence). Yesterday my parents and I attacked the back garden and it is now tamed and safe. I can get to the shed without the aid of a machete and a tent, which is nice. Except I never have any reason to go to the shed. I also spring-cleaned the house on Saturday, so everything is shiny and lemony-fresh.

I haven't much writing yet this weekend. That's what this afternoon is for - finishing the draft of
Moths. It currently looks like this:

5322 / 7000 words. 76% done!

I keep underestimating how long it's going to be (originally I planned about 5k), but since the word limit is 10k, I don't think I'm in danger of going over. After that I might get cracking on Silver Kiss, which has been burning me up ever since a certain housemate texted me the magic words "werewolf fight club" on Friday night.

Heigh-ho, I can has plague! Again! The first time in a week, I felt okay and went shopping and then the very next day it hit and then I spent most of the weekend in bed watching horror movies, but last night I dragged my butt out to an accoustic pub gig for Jeff Martin (ex Tea Party frontman) and I think my plague has been awesomed away. Mostly. I got to hug Jeff. He did not smell like a sweaty, possibly boozed, rock dude. And then I stayed up all night and read part three of an epic bandom AU, only to go to bed and be woken up by my neighbour who wanted to see if a pair of sunglasses on the fence belonged to me. But I have dinosaur-shaped sprinkles for the muffins I fully intend to bake.

And I'm pretty sure the desktop PC is frelled, and I don't know how to fix it. Thank goodness that the vast majority of my shit is on the external drive and my laptop. All that's stuck on the desktop is a torrent I was trying to finish. I need to take out all the plugs and put them back and see what happens before I wander down to the PC store and be all "um, halp."

My life, so exciting.

Aw, sorry about your plague. Have you tried strapping frogs to your throat? Apparently in medieval England it went down quite well.

I would if I were near a creek that had frogs in it. I could try to strap pigeons to my throat, but that might be as good as trying to huff rats for plague. Annnd there's been reports of Swine Flu in my state (two schools are currently shut down) and Hep A going around due to semi-dried tomatos. I don't eat those, thankfully. It's not even winter yet, WHY AM I GETTING SICK!?

I'm venting my frustrations on innocent soldiers in the Holy Land in Assassin's Creed and embracing the sneak-attack and leaping on people to stab them in the head.

My boobs are falling off, thankyou for asking.

Otherwise things are OK, though. Eating a lot of stir-fried pork this week, for some reason...
