I know!

All I do is complain about my dayjob. That's because it stops me getting more work done on Wonderland because my arm can't take a full day at work and an evening of writing. AND it stops me getting started on the rewrite of Fire and Moonlight Catching Fire Title To Be Confirmed, which I'm absolutely dying to do after spending the evening talking about it with [livejournal.com profile] chaostheory . (Yeah, Catching Fire is out as a title because I don't want to step on Suzanne Collins' toes. Because clearly my unwritten novel is major competition for the sequel to The Hunger Games.)

On the plus side, I now have Chocolate Cherry coloured hair and I'm going to see Watchmen tonight. Who watches the Watchmen? I do!

On titles, as I am completely clueless aside from snippets, the first things I think of with Fire and Moonlight/Catching Fire as a starting place are cinder toffee, toffee apples, Bonfire Night...but then my brain starts heading into porno territory (Fast - with Fireworks!) and I must Step Away From The Serious Discussion.

Mmm, titles! :)

How about A Moonlight Flame?

See, the problem I'm having is that in the original version, werewolves were a big part of the plot (hence the moonlight part of the title). Now they're really not, so while fire is still relevant, moonlight is isn't.

I'm thinking I need something like Burning Down, Up in Flames, blah, pun, etc.

That's fair enough. Let's focus on the fire, then.

Flame
A Tender Flame
Lick of Fire
Slow Burning

These all sound like romance titles, don't they?

Lol, they do. The kind with the gloriously retro, trashy 80s covers where everything is purple and orange, and there's a giant animal somewhere on the cover!

I like Slow Burning though.

So do I.

It works as a title, too. :D
