I'll admit I've not made a whole lot of progress this week. I went to the doctor this morning about my new and interesting arm pains, and he's sending me to a physio to make sure it's not carpal tunnel syndrome. In the mean time I have to make a note of where the pains are and what they're like, and I apparently need to be more specific than just EVERYWHERE! PAINFUL!, which was sort of how our appointment went. Didn't help that I fell over again on the way to the doctor, because winter is not my friend, and I have no suitable footwear for ice and snow... yet. Soon I will be the proud owner of these!:
And then I will laugh in the face of Cambridge's treacherous, unsalted pavements.

on 2010-12-01 05:54 pm (UTC)The metal strut put the wrist up at the right angle. The tabs allowed you to fit it as snug as you needed. It was adjustable around the thing too so it fit right around the hand.
Like I said, this kind puts your hand at the right angle and squishes your forearm bones where they are supposed to be to relieve the pressure on the carpel tunnel, so it is a bit uncomfortable while things are readjusting. If your hand is going numb, though, it is probably too tight.
