I'm up to about 5,500 on my estimated 20,000 words. I finished roughing out the chapters yesterday and started writing.

It is pretty craptacular, but hey, that's what rough drafts are for.

Well, I didn't write today.... My bad. I didn't get up early enough and then I just didn't want to. BUT the day isn't over yet.

I may work more on my MG book. I have started chapter 3 of it and since it's the only thing going well...

Drive-by comment to say that a) writing! YAY! I have over 1,000 words to my name and it's still kinda random, and b) I'm taking my computer into the store to get a fan seen to, and the outcome of that may lead to some computerlessness in the near future.

ETA: and now I have a gloriously stealthy quiet ninja computer again. *happy sigh* Crisis averted. I don't know how much writing I'm going to get done tonight because I'm going to head off to see Skyline. Will report back on the whole tentacle thing.

Well, I made a quick, flippant little LJ post about my historical garage and the giant spider I found in it ... then I got to thinking ... and ended up with two columns on that flimsy little subject. There's nothing like deadlines to get the creative juices flowing.

Every now and then things fall in such a way that I end up writing two part columns -- I try to avoid it, since there's the chance someone might miss the first one, but on occasion I can't avoid being long winded!
