Show me what you got, people.

I'm up to this much on Night and Chaos:

21333 / 30000
(71.11%)

I'm thinking 30k is now a conservative estimate for the first draft - I might be edging closer to 40 - 50k, by which time I may as well just give up and write a novel. Anyway, I am currently managing 1k a day. How about the rest of you?

I am up to 41k.
Has managed to keep 2k most days but exams are looming and I have too much homework! *cries from the loss of continuous writing*

That's awesome, but boo to exams! I hope you can find a way to balance it all!

I am still a flaming pile of failure! I have no idea what to work on! I may bite the bullet and just start something new and self-indulgent based on chat babbles.

Though, something must've shaken loose in my brain because I've done a bit of world building for the future dystopia about how vampires and other supernatural creatures may be better intergrated to post-apocalyptic society with licences and permits to nom.

That sounds good! I vote you do that. (Although self-indulgent stuff is also fun)

¬¬ I only just got to writing last night and it was only a meager 1800 words. Blurgh. I'm days behind! I also realize that I don't remember this book (that I'm rewriting) as well as I thought. Before I can get to the fine details, I really need to go through the rewrite and make a good outline of the little details to make sure I'm not just making the same canon-trashing mistakes I made in the original!

This is Anti-Nano though - do not be beholden by the rules you set yourself before, for they can be maellable and changed to suit your progress! I think 1800 is pretty good for a day's work in any csae.

I suck. I'm supposed to be writing the Wendy and the Werewolves novel, and instead, I'm meebling about post-apocalypse dystopias and in generally accomplishing nothing.

OK, no, that's a lie. I have three open documents with 519, 157, 761 and words, but it's still not as much as I'd hoped to have by this time. It's entirely possible that I may have burned myself out creatively with all the other stuff I did this year. *sigh*

Although, technically, the 1st of the month I was at my grandparents, the 2nd was spent moving, and the last three days have been full of school stuff, so I suppose I could use that as an excuse. I'm not sure how much writing I'll get done this weekend - I'm going to visit my other grandmother, and I have studying to do, *sigh*.

Lol, yeah, that sounds like a good excuse to me! But hey, under the rules of Anti-Nano, thinking about writing counts.

Over the last two days, this being the third, I've managed to write about 1k in outline for this short-ish story which may turn out longer than I originally intended. I had this nice little idea for a short story which I jotted down.

I also decided I really wanted to start learning about story structure and would let this be my test subject. Story structure is, I think, the piece I've been missing. Already, this WIP is turning into something better because I can see where I need to plug in pieces. I've always had trouble "connecting the dots." I could see the beginning and the end, but always got lost going from one to the other. LOL, so my borrowed lap-top has been getting a work out.

That's pretty cool! Structure used to be a massive problem for me, twinned with pacing. This book saved my life, lol:

Aww! Baby Cthullu is so cute!

So far, I'm wading through dialogue that's bloomed into some sort of untabeable beast... I shall probably lose my word count once I've hacked it into something meaningful...

That said, I'm so far managing to keep my target of 1000 a day. :D

I'm looking forward to this next week, since in about five scenes God will be making his big, flashy entrance. *is excited!*

Allright! Link to scanned page! This is where I left off today. I wrote nearly four pages so that is about 400-500ish words? I'm doing well :) I think I'm nearing the climax! I've hit the turning point in act two.
