I want to panic now
Oct. 16th, 2010 09:43 amKet has escaped. Some time between Wednesday night and yesterday night. We ripped the house apart last night looking for him without success. He's a small snake still, but we have a small house - there can't be that many places for him to hide? We've put mice down for him because he's due to be fed today, and I'm desperately hoping he'll get hungry, smell mice brains and emerge so we can snatch him. I'm keeping the house as dark and quiet as I can. I don't know what else to do. I'm absolutely terrified he's got out of the house somehow - through a kitchen pipe or something. I mean, I don't think he would; I think he would find somewhere warm and dark and hole up there, but he's had two days on the loose. He could be stuck somewhere.
I keep reading about what amazing escape artists cornsnakes are, and how people sometimes lose theirs for weeks, or even months, before they reappear and are perfectly fine. I could not stand waiting that long without finding him, it will drive me insane. I feel sick worrying.
