Anti-Nano Cult Preliminary Meeting

As you can see, the Anti-Nano Cult will be sponsered by Cthulhu Himself. Because there's no motivation like fear of crippling insanity.
 

Anyway, I'll be posting an official Anti-Nano sign-up post next week on October 1st, but I wanted to do a quick post now to throw around some thoughts. Mostly, I want people's ideas on check-ins. Obviously we need to report our progress to each other to keep the momentum going and to make those who are falling behind feel bad about themselves. And we only have a month, so weekly check-ins don't seem regular enough to me.

However, I am nothing if not a democratic cult leader, so what do you think? The options are weekly, daily, or bi-weekly check-ins. I'm leaning towards bi-weekly, personally.

ETA: out_totheblack has suggested posting snippets of what we're working on too. How about bi-weekly check-ins and weekly excerpt postings?

I can do daily except during the weekends, but perhaps biweekly is safer. I think we should work exactly on what we want to work on, since it's the anti-nano cult, the nano rules don't apply.

I'M IN! I can't write 50k in a month I HAND WRITE EVERYTHING! Good God! And I was already going to try and finish my WIP in November to sort of join the NaNo fun even though it's against the rules.

I'm also good with bi-weekly + once a week excerpts. I guess I have a little over two weeks to decide what I'm going to be writing - Inception big bang, trying to rewrite my novel (again), trying to write another novel, or working on more cracked out fake band stories. Meep.
