Sep. 20th, 2010 03:01 am- 10:33:44: @poppiesareblue Yep, it's how they swallow their prey. The bones in the lower jaw aren't rigidly attached
- 10:34:30: Just woken from a dream where @thetheoryof and me were singing Boom! Shake The Room on stage with Will Smith
- 11:28:05: @cherose228 I already have a copy! Haven't started reading yet, but it's waiting for me
- 12:52:59: I love the Ikea cat advert! It's the cutest thing ever *wants a kitty*
- 13:33:47: @caseyparry Aw, I might take you up on that! How are the newbies settling in?
- 14:08:43: @cherose228 Lol, at the moment, the snake is enough! Maybe one day, we'll have time for troublesome cats too!
- 14:09:02: Christopher Nolan directing a Superman reboot? Another freaking reboot? The last one only came out four years ago!
- 14:09:22: So on the one hand, Nolan = awesome, and he might even make Superman tolerable to me...
- 14:11:02: On the other hand, another bloody reboot of a franchise that's barely old enough to be considered a franchise by lazy Hollywood
- 14:13:16: @brian_ohio I've never liked Superman. He's basically I Can't Believe It's Not Butter in a cape. Dull
- 14:13:38: @Scarimonious Part of me thinks it could be great; the rest of me remembers how utterly boring I've always found Superman and shudders
- 14:32:35: @thetheoryof No, but they're planning a new film which is being branded a reboot, so I assume it will ignore the 2006 film
- 14:35:34: @thetheoryof I just can't excited about that. I don't see how Superman can exist in the same universe as Nolan's Batman.
- 14:35:45: @thetheoryof But I guess if anyone can pull it off, it will be Nolan
- 14:42:24: @thetheoryof What, no Super-ventriloquism?
- 21:50:16: 71663 words later, Blood Hunt is finished! *passes out with relief*
- 21:52:07: OMG, I wrote nearly 9000 word today. 8291, to be precise. No wonder my arm hurts...
- 21:57:29: @yolandasfetsos Thank you! Feels nice to finally have a finished draft! Although I will suffer tomorrow... :)
- 22:06:25: Okay, I need painkillers and bed. Night!

on 2010-09-20 02:52 am (UTC)When we were moving, for the car ride, we had to give our cat a pill to keep him calm. The vet was like after he takes the pill, you will probably see his third eye. I about died when she said that. lol I'm like what? I know I had this horrified look on my face. I can't remember exactly what she said but basically something about the eyelids, I don't know. I know I just didn't want to see it.
A Superman reboot already!
You know they are doing Spider-Man (already cast, Andrew Garfield), and I read a couple of days ago, Fantastic Four (something about Stephen Moyer from True Blood for Dr. Doom, not in the running, or was, I don't know). I'm like FF wasn't that long ago when the 2nd one came out.
I don't see why they can't do different characters, why the same ones over and over. Yes, I like Batman and he is my favorite superhero, but Wonder Woman has been in developmental hell (more like pre-developmental hell) for years. Get to it, Hollywood!
And what else kills me is that now even the actors are playing more than one superhero.
Halle Berry - Catwoman and Storm
Ryan Reynolds - The Green Lantern or is that Hornet. lol He also played a superhero in that Wolverine movie.
Chris Evans - Captain America and The Human Torch
Can we get some new blood for these different roles? I can go on all night about this so I will shut up. lol

on 2010-09-20 07:49 am (UTC)Ugh, I know, right? Spider-Man does not need rebooting. Surely there ought to at least be a minimum period of time set before a film is genuinely worth remaking, or a franchise restarting? Like ten years? I don't know. It just seems like Hollywood can't be bothered coming up with anything new, so they churn out more and more of the same, regardless of whether it's needed or wanted. It makes me tired.

So true!

on 2010-09-20 09:50 am (UTC)Though, I have no idea if Nolan can make Supes interesting. I like the guy, but there's only so much wholesome goodness I can take before I scurry back to Gotham. Though, that episode of Batman Beyond with the creepy mind-controlling starfish was awfully good.

on 2010-09-20 09:56 am (UTC)But four years since the last film seems too soon. Why not build on that one? Admittedly I didn't see it, so I have no idea if it was worth building on, but anyway.
I am glad there's no cross-over happening. The idea scared me too much.
