I've managed to keep to the "at least 1k a day" rule while I've been off work. I'm sure I'll be able to keep it up once I'm back at work, it just might involve a bit of self-bribery and a lot of whinging about my arm. Oh the pain! I switched from Vista to Windows 7 recently and haven't investigated the voice rec situation with it yet. I mean, I know there is voice rec, I just haven't set it up yet because of my crazy fear about teaching my laptop to think for itself and sparking the robot rebellion, in which I am killed in the opening credits.

Anyway. As usual, the plot is throwing up some twists I didn't expect, and like with SILVER KISS, there are more relationship issues than I anticipated, but not so much between Ayla and Shannon this time. In the mean time, Ayla is speculating about monsters, and I'm wondering if it's too early in the plot to send the cast down into the catacombs for some horror.

How are you liking Windows 7? One of my computers came with it and I love it lots.

I love watching your word meters. Great progress!

I like it, but since I use Open Office, I haven't found it massively different to Vista, lol.

Thanks! I need the meters to make myself feel like I'm actually progressing.

I am a little antsy about Windows 7, but a couple of people I know like it so I'm tempted to give it a try. At least I have the XP backup discs in case I need to reformat the harddrive. I refuse to use Vista on principle, so I paid extra to get XP on my computer when it was being customised.

It is never too early to send the cast down into catacombs for some horror. I am tempted to start my vampire story this way.

I loathe Vista's version of word; I'd say anything would be an improvement on that! But XP holds a special place in my heart, it was always so much more user-friendly.

I dream of a return to 1k a day - pretty impressive when you've been to work too.

Is Windows 7 very different to Vista? I've never quite settled down to Vista despite having had it for a while now.

I don't think it's massively different, personally. But I use Open Office, so in terms of applications, I've no idea if it's different anyway! At work I have Vista and I loathe the Word programme; I'm hoping the work computers get updated to Windows 7 just to get away from that.

I agree, it's Word that I dislike - I hate all those tabs at the top!
