Off Topic - Seriously! Wrestling!

 

I don't know whether to cover myself in glory or shame, but since we got Sky at the house, I've become obsessed with wrestling again. It's been years since I properly watched any WWE, but it's nice to see that Randy Orton is still a knob and the Undertaker is still the only surviving wrestler with a gimmick. We watched Bragging Rights last night (can't bloody believe Team Smackdown won! Robbery! Raw clearly had the superior team!) and Bound for Glory (TNA) last week, and really? TNA is SO much better than WWE right now. Last time I watched TNA it was a total joke. But their X Division is freaking amazing. Why don't any of the WWE guys do all that highflying stuntwork anymore? They all just basically stand in the middle of the ring and punch each other. It's really not that great to watch.

And the TNA Knockout division kicks the ass of the WWE Divas! They can actually wrestle! Apart from Mickie James and Beth Phoenix (and Melina, I guess, she's pretty cool), the Divas are fairly lame. I wouldn't rate any of them against OBD.

Oh, WWE, where did it all go wrong? I know Jeff Hardy is a complete junkie, but you could have at least tried to replace him with someone of equal entertainment value! And please scrap ECW, it's an embarrassment to hardcore wrestling. (Another thing TNA has over WWE - Mick Foley!). And please, please, please do away with Matt Hardy. He brings nothing. Nothing, I tell you.
