The Small World Guide says: If you're a lover of live music, you could do worse than visit Suicide Notes. Ignore the macabre name - this is a vibrant venue serving hot jazz and cool cocktails every night of the week. Be sure to check out Sunday night's Soul Lounge, when drinks are two-for-one and the best undiscovered talent in the city is guaranteed. Just take it easy on the Rattlesnakes - this is a night sure to leave you drained.

Yasmin Stoker says: I pushed open the heavy wooden door and entered a room overflowing with music and smoke. The rich, brassy notes of a saxophone wrapped around me. The heady aromas of absinthe and marijuana filled the air, creating an intimate, intense atmosphere that belied the dilapidated outer appearance of the building ... At the back of the room was a stage, upon which the saxophonist swayed and dipped in time with his music. Clustered around the stage were several small tables, most of the empty.

Nicomedes himself was probably downstairs sacrificing virgins and milking vipers, or whatever it is Lich Lords do in their spare time.
