The Shoregrave Guide says: Vampire that survive the dangerous and difficult "revenant" stage are classified as "Immaculates." A regular diet of blood and flesh restores the original intelligence and personality, giving these vampires a much greater chance of survival. As they age, their need for blood reduces, and it is thought (though not proven) that eventually they may go without blood altogether. Older Immaculates are also believed to be immune to the traditional methods of vampire extermination - sunlight, garlic, ash wood, etc.
Like Lich Lords, Immaculates are territorial creatures, roaming far and wide to avoid each other, and are known to kill Revenants when they come across them. They are perhaps the deadliest and cleverest of the higher undead.
Yasmin Stoker says: Part of me longed to track down the Immaculate and kill it while it was exhausted and helpless. It had been decades since I drank an Immaculate's soul, but I'd never forgotten the taste. They were like wines, souls. They got better with age.
