Wraiths
The Shoregrave Guide says: A rare type of higher undead, very little is known about the origins of wraiths. Like Immaculate vampires and Lich Lords, they are able to shift between the material world and Pale World at will, and feed on spectral energy (the so-called "soul.") It is speculated that they are able to shapeshift, but conclusive proof has never been found.
It is not known whether Shoregrave has its own wraith population or not. Many accounts are simply cases of mistaken identity - Shoregrave's more common ghosts and poltergeists taken for wraiths, rather than the real thing. Most credible accounts focus on Shoregrave's infamous mass grave on the cliffs overlooking the bay, where it is said that wraiths lurk to gather the spectral energy produced by the dead sailors buried there. However, verifiable accounts remain few and far between, and it is generally believed that, if wraiths exist at all, they seldom leave the Pale World to interact with our own.
Yasmin Stoker says: I was a wraith ... I was an immortal with six centuries of life behind me. I would not be intimidated by Nicomedes and his reptile fetish.
