I went and read a bunch of bad reviews by incredibly loyal fans on Amazon- ALL of whom preface their bad reviews with how loyal they are and how much they wish the books were good. I sort of feel sorry for them....
BUT back to the review! O. M. G. and there should be some effs in there too. I am amazed that she is on the NYT bestie list at all. There NEED to be Bad Book Awards like how the movies have the Razzies.
I sort of wish I had read all these books because I likes me some bad writing- although maybe not this bad... I have slogged through a lot that will remain nameless. But just, the appalling top-heavyness of the Anita novels sounds like it needs to be witnessed first hand to be understood. I feel like a blind person having a Mt. Everest of crap described to them. I KNOW it's hilarious but I'd like to see it for myself. But I don't have time to read 20 novels only 7 of which are good (if you listen to the loyal/disapponted fans). LKH needs to personally thank/grovel at the feet of every fan who forks over their hard earned cash on her books.
And sorry for hijacking your post with a long ramble! Jeez!
