So. Kyle went out today and bought us a new snake. This is why men should not be left unattended. I have to admit, my initial reaction was, "You're replacing Ket! No!" But having met our newest reptile, I am quite smitten with him. He's a ghost corn snake and looks a little like this:
Except he's only eight weeks old, so he's tiny. And adorable. *sigh* I didn't want to be happy, but then I held him and he went straight up my arm into my hair, just like Ket, and that was that. I've named him Dagon.
The good news is, Kyle spoke to a reptile expert at the centre Dagon came from, and this guy assured him that Ket will show up given time. There's very little chance of him having left the house. So now I just sit back, get to know Dagon, and wait for Number One Snake to re-emerge.
