Um, it was okay. Not as good as Oldboy or Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, and fairly standard for Asian cinema in terms of violence and gore. I didn't really get why Ichi was so messed-up; he seemed quite arbitrarily crazy, and I like a bit of meaning to my senseless craziness, lol.
