naomi_jay... And LJ's posting system is all differenty. Is it just me? I don't like change!
Anyway. Yes. Yesterday I took the day off life and went and loitered in coffee shops and read, which was fabulous. I had a work-thing first thing in the morning that I couldn't reschedule, but after that I just mooched around, met Kyle for lunch, met Pip for a drink in the evening, and then came home and fell asleep in front of Clerks, because I am incapable of staying awake through a whole film. It was such a nice day. I'm reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare - a book I'd been really wary about, given the whole plagiarism thing surrounding Clare's fan fic. But I'm so glad I picked it up, because it's highly engaging and engrossing.
Today, it's back to work with a vengeance. I have experimented and discovered that sadly, BLOOD HUNT isn't going to write itself. So I'm going to have to write it instead.
I've also discovered a whole slew of anthologies looking for submissions, and am now all excited trying to think of stories for them all - http://staticmovement.com/. Must exercise restraint...
