• 10:16:51: I'm reading two books at the moment that can both be summed up as "good idea, terribly executed." I'm already nostalgic for Unholy Ghosts!
  
• 10:18:56: Novel 1 = all drivel, no action, icky. Novel 2 = all gore and shallow characterisation, and a central concept that makes me incredulous
  
• 10:20:18: Reading reviews of Book 2 to see if it's just me being snarky, and apparently it is. I just can't handle the "high concept" and "terror"
  
• 10:24:45: @etaknosnhoj I'm guessing not. Book 2 is all about the hook, but the story just makes me go "Really?" at every so-called twist
