Naomi on Location!

naomi_jayYo dudes (could anyone ever get away with talking like that?), just thought I'd check in quickly. I'm coming at you live from some random internet cafe outside the police station! Naomi's on location!
Anyway, how are we all doing? I'm happy to say my Dad is well on his way to a full recovery ^-^ I'm almost as happy to report that the first draft of Something Wicked should be finished by the end of this month, provided I stick to my daily word count goal (which I probably won't). This leaves me with the issue of what to work on next. Part of me wants to leap straight into the next Scarlett book, but I know I don't have enough information for that yet. Research must be done!
I have two other fledging projects in the pipeline; one I see as the start of a series, the other is a stand-alone novel. I'm favouring working on the stand-alone first, because I'm in love with the concept. However, I know my track record on such things isn't that good. I throw myself wildly into the idea, write about six chapters, then decide to scrap it all. There must be a cure for this writerly affliction. Perhaps I'll dedicate post-Something Wicked time to discovering it.
And now it's back to the police station for me. Thirty-minute lunch breaks, I ask you! Barely enough time for me to eat all my lunch...
