It's Anti-Nano sign-up time again!

I think most people who read my journal know the rules, but for any newcomers, here they are again:

If you love the idea of Nanowrimo but know 50k is an impractical target for you, never fear! Join the cult, and dedicate November to writing as much (or as little) as you want in the company of like-minded writers.

Just leave a comment here stating your goal and what you'll be working on. I'll be doing bi-weekly check-ins throughout November (Mondays and Fridays), and once a week there'll be excerpt postings here (Wednesdays). You can sign-up any time throughout October.

I'll be working on Halflife, the next Shoregrave book, in November, and if progress goes well I'd also like to start on Undertow, the next Ethan Banning story.

Sign me up! My goal is the full 50K words, but I'm calling November "Tortured Artist Month" (or TAM). I'm getting other artist friends to join in--a comic artist and a modeler to commit to a steep goal to be finished by the end of November. This way we can all support each other and all make a lot of art even if we're working on something other than a novel.

I refuse to commit to a wordcount, because my year has been shitty enough that I'm fully expecting something else to happen that'll make writing impossible, but I'd like to get started on The One With the Married Mercenaries. I had originally thought about doing The One With the Plucky Librarian (And Also, There Are Werewolves), but the marrieds are all up in my brain lately, so marrieds it is.

Even in the good old days when I barely needed to sleep, I couldn't manage more than 20K a month, what with the job and the family and the workout schedule. I'll commit to writing 15K on my Roman story.
