I'm not a planner either, but jotting down notes seems like a good idea. Besides, if the story ends up taking you elsewhere, you can always reorganize the notes accordingly! I recently read that article and it has many good points. Although, I won't fool myself about writing 10K in a day anytime soon at this point in my life, having a better wordcount when I sit to write would definitely be nice!

As for Ethan's short, I'm looking forward to it! :D I would love to see what this "nice" thing is all about!
