Anti-Nano Check In: The Final Reckoning

I know! Can you believe Anti-Nano is pretty much over already? But that does mean that wwathon is just around the corner, so the fun need not end yet. Huzzahs!

Anyway. I am shamed to admit I'm still slacking. Well, that's not strictly true. Over the weekend I finished up a short story, edited it, submitted it, and had it accepted for publication, and am now waiting for the contract to come through. That's pretty damn good, if I do say so myself! Today I've got a half-day at work, so am planning to get back into Night and Chaos this evening. I feel like I'm very close to the end now, and hope to have the first draft wrapped up by the weekend.

How about everyone else? Tell me you've been more productive than I have!

RL booted writing off my timetable for the whole weekend but I've only got 1700 words left to reach my anti-nano goal. Hopefully I'll get that done today (amidst all the other stuff clamouring for my attention) and then I can roll into wwathon with a smile.

I spent a lot of time yesterday editing and writing. I rewrote and cut out a lot. I got a lot done but don't feel like I gained much in the word count.

Surprise!entertaining happened to me too, but I managed to turn it into a Friday 13th marathon, so it was okay. Hope yours was equally good!

It was- surprisingly edible. Everyone ate the Congee (which was very surprising- though I have no desire to shell and de-vein prawns ever again)- though the peach crumble tarts were a hit, luckily.

No horror movie marathon unfortunately- just an early morning of washing up before work (ick)

As for Liquid Story Binder- it's this weirs and somewhat daunting writing tool that is like a digital ringbinder that lets you build image ref galleries and character profiles. The defining part for me is that chapters and scenes can be written individually and then shuffled according to your prefered timeline.
