My mother always wanted me to work in an office (and she still brings that up ever so often) but no I had to get stuck in retail for a 1000 years. Stuck in one position because I've been too scared to move up and stay in an higher position which I do regret A LOT. But that's another story and one I cry over just about every other day. I'll leave it at that! But I will tell you one thing, I wouldn't be a manager in retail for anything now.

OMG, the whole name pronounciation thing KILLS me and not in a good way.

I grew up in NY state and rarely would anyone pronounce my name wrong.

I've lived in South Carolina for years and not so bad but ever so often people would ask how to pronounce it.

I move to Louisiana and it's a big old freaking debate about how to pronounce my name. It's like my goodness, it's only four letters. That's one of the reasons my mother picked it. Short, easy to spell, and easy to pronounce.

No it's not pronounced TAh'Rah or Terra or Tyra. It's Tara!

And for the hundredth time, no my mother did not name me after the plantation or house or whatever from Gone With the Wind. She got it from the soap opera All My Children.

It was either Tara or Erica, she picked Tara!

For the longest time, I hated my name but throughout the years, I've grown to really like it. I like the fact that it's a hill in Ireland (I looked it up a long time ago) and that it means Star in Hindu (a customer told me that one).

Sorry ranting my comment on your journal but I know how you feel with the name thing. :)

Why won't Dagon eat? Your sleeve must taste a whole lot better. lol
