Yep, MB&D got pirated. A LOT. It was even requested on a pirate site well before it was published--in fact, as soon as it was announced. I'd only just sent back the line edits. First-month sales were about half what I got on my previous book with the same house.

I still get Google alerts for pirate sites. But after three months, no reviews. Maybe all those pirates could tell me how they liked the book!
